Though she’s been around in Bollywood for the past nine years, Raima Sen hasn’t lost her excitement for exploring the new. Presently, she has Balaji Motion Pictures’ C Kkompany, Madhureeta Anand’s Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye, Aparna Sen’s Japanese Wife and Sahara One Motion Pictures’ Mumbai Cutting coming up.
While she was supposed to feature with sister and actor Riya Sen (as reel sisters) in Vicky Chopra’s Seasons Greetings, Raima says they are not doing the film anymore citing ‘date problems’. However, Raima adds, “We will be seen in Rituparno Ghosh’s next but we are not going to play sisters. It’s a period film and a remake of Rabindranath Tagore’s novel Nouka Dubi.”
About her bonding with Riya, Raima says, “Riya and I have the same circle of friends. We are also each other’s best travelling companions.”
When quizzed about her link-up with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Raima dismisses it saying, “Yuvraj and I are good friends. He’s Riya’s good friend too and often comes home. But we are not romantically involved.”
Coming back to C Kkompany, Raima a self-confessed foodie, plays a dietician in the film. She says, “When I heard that I had to play a dietician I nearly choked. In fact, I had to looking rather disapprovingly at Tusshar (Kapoor) while he ate a burger in the first few shots of the movie.”
Raima is not dismissive about doing item numbers. “I’m open to doing them as long as they are well-shot. But I’m not open to kissing,” she cautions.
